V.I.E. Junior Project Buyer (gn*)

The Project Buyer is dedicated to plan and execute Sourcing & Purchasing related actions in projects. As such, this function is responsible for timely start of production (from the Sourcing & Purchasing perspective) and successful achievement of target costs, quality and delivery objectives of projects.

Key Accountabilities

Assess sourcing needs with project leader (determine in detail relevant sourcing needs, material requirements, adequate technologies and allocate in detail target costs and expected quality)

Perform total cost analysis, preparing basis for decision during the project execution phase
Market research and supplier evaluation, organize cost reduction workshops
Select suppliers based on commodity and/or project requirements and conduct negotiations
Draw up tooling contract/ownership agreement for all investments made at supplier premises
Execute and evaluate requests for quotation addressed to suppliers
Choose preferred development partners together with other functions within Sourcing & Purchasing
Schedule and coordinate the prototyping of tools and product samples
Prepare, maintain and report a consolidated view of project from the Sourcing & Purchasing perspective

Skills & Experience

Degree in Engineering or other technical qualification
Minimum 2 years experience in sourcing and purchasing, preferably in the automotive industry
Good technical knowledge & negotiation skills
Fluent in English
Analytical thinking and result orientation
Good communication skills and assertiveness
Willingness to travel

Who can participate? Anyone with a European nationality aged between 18 and 28 at the time they register can apply to be an international intern.
