Can you demonstrate year on year growth in sales and sales targets within Pharmaceuticals or Biotechnology?

A number of exciting Business Development Director opportunities have arisen across the UK and Germany due to accelerated global growth from my client within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.

My client is a multi-billion dollar start up with technology at its forefront who are looking to grow their business development team across North America and EMEA to manage the requirements of their top pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers. They are now looking for Business Development leaders across the UK and Germany.

Role Responsibilities:
As the Senior Business Development Director, you will be is responsible for cultivating and growing partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients to support them in advancing their research, clinical and/or commercial programs. The Business Development professional will work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders and lead on negotiates with clients to drive projects forward leveraging the products/services.

Key responsibilities as the Business Development Director:
  • Seeking out major clients and forming working relationships with the premier buyers in your industry
  • Overseeing and managing Sales Managers, covering your geographical area
  • Identifying valuable emerging opportunities
  • Accurately forecasting future sales and forming sales plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace
  • Serving as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions
  • Maximising company profit
  • Foreseeing and avoiding stagnation in the marketplace

The Ideal Candidate:
You will have a proven and seasoned track record within the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology customers, expertise in Genomics and Oncology and Translational medicine space would be preferable. You will also have the following:

  • 5+ years senior sales experience selling to Pharmaceutical and Biotech companies
  • Knowledge and understanding of Genomics and NGS
