Director Risk Management
Director Risk Management (m/f/d), Frankfurt am Main
We are looking for a senior level Credit Risk professional to join our Frankfurt office in Germany as Director and Chief Credit Officer for Germany, Spain and Austria.The individual will be responsible for the Credit Loss Provision for the markets and lead a team of credit risk managers and analysts to drive the credit strategy supporting the Consumer and Commercial business units.
They will work closely with business partners including central risk teams, marketing, sales, account development, operations, compliance to deploy risk solutions to solve business problems and support profitability growth.
Responsibilities:
Own the credit risk performance for the Consumer and Commercial portfolios in Germany, Spain, and Austria
Lead a team to develop and implement Credit Risk Strategies across the customer lifecycle from acquisition through to collections
Partner with central teams to identify opportunities in risk strategies and capabilities
Possess a deep understanding of the economics of the business unit, as well as the market landscape, including macroeconomy environment, competition, and regulatory requirements
Demonstrate thought leadership on the consumer and commercial payments landscape and long-term strategies for new growth areas
Communicate effectively with business partners on risk strategies and impact
Focus and invest deeply in talent development and team culture.

Mindestqualifikationen
Min. 8 years of relevant working experiences and advanced degree in business, finance, statistics, economics or mathematics or equivalent experience in similar business
is preferred
Credit Risk Management experience with ownership for portfolios of significant volumes
Consumer Commercial portfolio management experience
Excellent communication, negotiation and influence management skills; extensive experience in top-level executive interactions
Strong collaborative skills to partner across geographies and time zones
Well-rounded understanding of data exploration and statistical techniques and at least worked with one statistical program like SAS, Stata, R, Python
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
People management experience with focus on developing and coaching the team
Langague skill: fluent in German and English.
