100,000. That’s how many orders our ‘Scoober’ drivers deliver every week. From burgers in Berlin to salads in Stuttgart, more of those came in Germany (where we’re best known as Lieferando.de) than anywhere else.

You’ll hear the word ‘Scoober’ a lot around here. That’s the name we give to our trusty drivers who always deliver…whatever the weather! But with Scoober drivers in 36 cities across Germany, we need a Continuous Improvement Specialist to ensure the wheels keep spinning...

All about the role:

As a Continuous Improvement Specialist at Takeaway.com, you are responsible for implementing the Lean methodology into all logistical activities of your country together with our global Lean team. You are the specialist in your field of expertise, able to act as a pioneer within the country in making sure Lean will become part of the DNA. You will educate, train and assist (local) management in optimization and continuous improvement techniques.

You provide guidance, set standards, develop tools, share best practices and deliver results by executing Lean projects yourself. Leading by example on a day to day basis and having high visibility in the organization is essential for your success. In this role, you have a key position within the global food delivery team at Takeaway.com. You report directly to the global Continuous Improvement Manager and help the team with the following responsibilities:

  • Executing the Lean strategy for the Food Delivery department of the company in your country;
  • Providing leadership and support to design and implement Lean principles (such as PDCA cycles, Kaizens, Root Cause Analysis, etcetera), including training of local management;
  • Promote and develop standardization;
  • Pro-actively search for improvement possibilities and initiatives, including a project-based implementation of these initiatives;
  • Acting as a Lean subject matter;
  • You’re constantly looking for possibilities to further improve operational results, by monitoring market developments.

Can you deliver…

Ready to communicate success to the management team? Then we hope you can tick the boxes below:
Bachelor’s degree;
  • Experience with Lean;
  • At least 2-5 years of relevant Lean working experience in the operational field;
  • Experience with change management and project management is preferred;
  • Competencies: able to execute, work structured and autonomous, coaching, team player;
  • Fluent in English and German language;
  • Flexibility to travel for work
