Financial Solutions Life & Health Senior Trader
We are looking for a Senior Trader for the divisional unit Financial Solutions. Financial Solutions focuses on reinsurance of savings- and retirement products, which typically transfers hybrid actuarial- and capital market risks to the reinsurer. The activities of Financial Solutions include origination, structuring, valuation, risk-management and administration of reinsurance contracts in a truly international and diverse environment. The trading desk manages the cross-asset market risks of Financial Solutions’ global book.
You will work in an interdisciplinary team that produces & hedges non-traditional reinsurance solutions and creates investment solutions for clients.
Your job
- Managing and hedging complex non-linear cross-asset exposures including equity-, rates-, FX-, commodities-, correlation- and actuarial risks
- Execution of listed and OTC derivatives in size
- Execution of dynamic trading strategies using derivatives
- Improvement of trading infrastructure and trading processes
- At least 2 years industry experience (bank / insurance / hedge fund) in the front office
- Excellent degree in a highly quantitative subject such as maths, physics or statistics
- Relevant practical experience hedging exotic derivatives
- Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills in particular in pricing and hedging of derivatives
- Diligence, persistence and initiative
- Experience in reinsurance / direct insurance advantageous
- English (excellent command of written and spoken English)
