EUR520 - EUR600 per day
Our client is a global brand name looking for experienced EDI Middleware Consultants, with strong knowledge of XML to join their team based in Cologne on a contract basis.

MUST have experience in a transport / logistics setting - please do not apply if you do not have this.
The EDI Middleware Consultant will support the system requirements of the third party logistics offering. The successful candidate will have experience and proven ability with API in an EDI context, and experience in a transport/logistics setting.

This will include trouble shooting connectivity and data exchange issues with our partners, supporting our internal sales teams and configuration when on-boarding new partners.

The EDI Middleware Consultant will also work on the continual development of our clients’ in-house EDI platform, including on-going maintenance and enhancements to existing code as well as new projects that will require development and coding from scratch.

Key Skills:
Fluent in Windows applications
EDI Middleware
XML
PHP & SQL highly desirable
XSLT, WSDLs, of FTP, HTTP and AS2 beneficial but not essential
ERP beneficial, but is not essential (Infor SCE, Manhattan, SAP)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:
Working with the WMS Analyst and Administrators to understand system requirements for Third Party Logistics functionality
Monitoring of EDI platform and communication applications
Providing support to sales teams and trading partners
Perform configuration and mapping for on-boarding new partners
On-going maintenance of existing code
Development and coding for new EDI projects
Liaise with related application owners within the Group IT function
