Application Engineer

We are looking for a capable
Application Engineer (m/f/d)
to support our customer on site in Stuttgart (Germany) until the end of the year and work from AEC (Aachen Engineering Center) in Wegberg afterwards.
You will be the engineering interface at the customer's site and be responsible for different tasks including component/vehicle testing activities, technical negotiations with customer and support to new product development. In your daily work you will closely collaborate with our core development teams in Japan and Europe.

What you'll do

Provide technical support on a current project within a multi-cultural global team;
Prepare and give technical presentations at the customer’s site;
Work within the customer project team supporting the development and integration of solutions with the goal to meet customer requirements;
Prepare and coordinate component and vehicle tests in close cooperation with our testing department and relevant customer departments;
Be responsible for the day to day project management activities and liaise with colleagues (both internal and external) towards integration of solutions acceptable to our customer and internal quality standards.

What you'll need

University degree in automotive/ mechanical engineering/natural sciences or a comparable education;
Passion for technical products;
An understanding of the required methodologies for design, processing and manufacturing methods as well as the ability to operate NX or similar 3D CAD systems are desirable;

Professional and/or academic project delivery capability;
Fundamental understanding of exhaust systems;
Ability to work both independently and in teams showing a high-quality orientation, combined with a proactive attitude, flexibility and good judgement ability;

Strong communication and negotiation skills;
You will work within an international and highly diverse and multi-cultural organisation on a day-to-day basis;
A fluent level of English is required, good level of German is an advantage;
In this role you will be expected to undertake business travel.
