Senior Desktop Support Administrator (m/f/d)
We are looking for a new Senior Desktop Support Administrator (m/f/d) in our Cologne office!
Your Responsibilities
- You work independently and are responsible for the technical leadership of our Desktop Support Team in Cologne
- You work in close collaboration with our Manager of Desktop Support who is located in Chicago
- As a vocational trainer, you are responsible for the guidance and coordination of our two trainees of system integration
- Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Windows PC's and all authorized desktop applications on those systems, printers, and all other peripheral equipment
- Manage authorized access to the network
- Use tools and methodologies (KACE) to load, copy and customize operating system configurations for deployment, as well as track hardware inventory
- Take ownership and responsibility of queries, issues, and problems assigned to the helpdesk system
- Take ownership for assigned incidents and problems, and contact required resources both inside and outside the company necessary to resolve the problem
- Be proactive in recommending improvements in procedures that will increase the efficiency in regards to IT related technical issues and processes
Your Qualifications and Skills
- Apprenticeship as IT specialist for system integration (Fachinformatiker/in für Systemintegration) or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field or equivalent relevant work experience
- Ideally, you are already a certified trainer (IHK Ausbilderschein)
- Excellent technical knowledge of PCs and desktop hardware
- Process orientation, innovative thinking, and acting
- Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities appropriately, schedule calls
- German and English fluent in spoken and written
