Subject: Oxygen dynamics in lakes and reservoirs

Earliest starting date: 1st May 2019, working time: 75% (29,25 hours per week), limited to 3 years

Your tasks:

• Plan and implement a field monitoring program for oxygen in a German reservoir embedded in a beautiful landscape
• Design and conduct field and lab experiments on oxygen consumption
• Analysis of long-term monitoring data
• Translate mechanistic process knowledge into ecological lake models
• Presentation of results and preparation of scientific publications

Your profile:

• You have a master degree in aquatic ecology, biogeochemistry, limnology, environmental sciences or any related discipline
• You are interested in field work and process-oriented research
• You are well trained in data analysis and scientific methodology
• You have good communication and intercultural skills
