Senior Network & Firewall Administrator

Description and responsibilities:

• Securing operation and further development of the WAN/LAN/WiFi infrastructure
• Responsibility for the entire network and firewall operation (Palo, Alto, Cisco, Aruba, Pulse) of our client's worldwide locations
• Managing of the providers involved in the network area
• Network analysis in terms of security, performance and optimization including trend analysis and recommendations
• Continuous system controlling and ensuring smooth operation
• Collaborating in IT infrastructure projects
• Introducing and improving of modern IT security policies, strategies and procedures
• On-site network installation at the opening of new locations

Your profile:

• A completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist or a university degree in the field of computer science, software engineering or a related subject area
• Several years of professional experience in a comparable position, specialist knowledge and practical experience in the network and firewall environment
• Very good written and spoken English skills
• Agile self-reliant way of working
• High communication, analysis and team skills as well as excellent problem-solving orientation
• Occasional willingness to travel
• Participation in on-call duty (max. 1 week per month)
