end users of tactical satellite systems to include but not limited to SNAP, SWAN, ISA, and
Micro-VSAT

PRIMARY DUTIES:
All candidates will perform the following duties:
Install, operate, and maintain the LINKWAY® Master Reference Terminal (MRT)/Network Controller.
Configure TDMA network for Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network (DMVPN).
Install, operate
,
and maintain line of sight systems.
Configure and integrate COMSEC equipment i.e. KG -175D, KG-175 Classic, KG-250X and KG-175E into all tactical SATCOM systems.
Manage and maintain telecommunication installation supplies.
Maintain daily on-hand inventories.
Provide training on tactical SATCOM equipment when required.
Configure FDMA network modems.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
All candidates will have the following minimum skills:
Ability to work both in the office and in the field
In-depth knowledge of satellite communication market
Highly developed written and oral communication skills
7 years of operational experience
on satellite communications terminals
2 years of experience operating
in a tactical environment maintaining antenna controllers, Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA), Low Noise Amplifier (LNA), Low Noise Block (LNB), up and down converters, Fiber optic/Coax/Ethernet Cable, Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA)/TDMA modems (satellite modems).
E
xperience and skill with commercial and military satellite acquisition procedures, IP routing and switching, Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP), Quality of Service (QoS), Voice and Data - T1/E1, Foreign Exchange Server (FXS), and commercial TDMA/FDMA modems required. Experience with the MRT desired.
E
xperience with Satellite Line of Sight and Near Line of Sight transport methods.
EDUCATION/
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred
Associate
’s degree plus
5
years

experience
OR
11
total years of recent specialized experience.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
Experience in maintaining certifications related to the requirement of the position.
Security+ certified.
Network+ certified.
