DB International Operations, located in Berlin, acquires, initiates and manages rail operations and maintenance projects outside of Europe. We are currently looking for an intern to support our passionate and performance driven team and gain valuable insights into how to manage tenders, build local companies from scratch to full operations, steer quality and performance and enable know-how transfer to our customers and rail business in Germany.

at our Berlin offices for 3 to 6 months, starting as soon as possible.

Your tasks:

• Get to know our business of international mobility services and experience corporate as well as start-up culture in one company.
• Assist our experienced technical team in developing operating concepts for international tenders and support the ramp-up of railway companies, incl. operations planning, safety management, railway systems integration, rolling stock procurement and maintenance, planning and equipment of rolling stock workshops, fleet management, rail infrastructure maintenance, evaluation of existing systems and investments.

Your profile:

• You are enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program of Transportation Engineering, Railway Operations, Rail Rolling Stock, Railway Construction, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering or related studies / You are in a gap year between Bachelor and Master
• You have good analytical and conceptual competence. You are enthusiastic about the railway system and interested in international projects.
• You have social and intercultural competence.
• You are able to work both independently and as part of a team
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint
• Fluent spoken and written English and German is a requirement
