We have an exciting opportunity with a global award-winning academic publisher of print and digital resources. Our client is looking for a German-speaking Sales Manager to manage a portfolio of existing key accounts across Germany, Austria and Denmark, and seek new business opportunities. This role can be home-based (UK or Germany) or based in the office, with regular travel to the allocated territories.
You will be mainly responsible for managing the relationship with existing higher and further education customers (universities and college libraries), and for developing new accounts and non-commercial opportunities. You will be promoting new products (printed and online resources, books, teaching cases) to institutions, to ensure renewal of agreements and growing the business.
Key responsibilities:
Managing accounts across Germany, Austria and Denmark to ensure renewal of agreements and improving sales targets
Acting as the point of contact for existing customers and new prospects, delivering presentations on new products and negotiating on agreements
Researching and targeting new leads
Acting as a brand ambassador for the company when attending conferences and exhibitions
Providing accurate reports on the market and the main competitors
The role requires fluency in German and ability to negotiate and build long-lasting relationships with German-speaking academic clients. This is the perfect opportunity for a commercially-minded, communicative, and target-driven candidate with a successful record of selling for the B2B and/or academic market.
