Operational Risk Manager
We are currently supporting one of our clients on a newly created position to be based in Wiesbaden. Our client is an ECB-regulated bank that is looking to grow their operational risk and governance function. The Head of Regulatory Affairs would like to hire an expert to support him and implement new processes for the company’s operational risk department. This role would cover a broad range of non-financial risk related projects and requires experience in qualitative risk management, excellent communication skills and a very diligent and independent working style. You would be directly in touch with senior management to challenge the first line of defence, work closely with external auditors and regulators and also assure the accuracy and completeness of the company’s risk framework. Our client can offer a lot of flexibility, exciting projects and the opportunity to bring in your ideas and expertise, as the area and the business are strongly growing at the moment.
Requirements are:
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in an operational risk, non-financial risk, risk governance, risk audit or a risk consulting role within banking or financial services
- Fluent German and very good English speaking skills
- Experience of working in small teams
- High level of self-organisation
- Strong presentation and communication skills
