The Robert Bosch GmbH is looking forward to your application Job Description In order to test and benchmark novel compute platforms in conjunction with SoA based middleware's such as ROS2, a large number of applications with different compute characteristics are needed. The goal of the thesis would be to characterize different types of robotic applications (planning, perception, localization, etc. ) and generate based on the synthetic representations that are executed on Linux within the RO2 framework

to adapt and extend an existing framework for synthetic load generation to soa based architectures in robotics belongs to your area of responsibility. * observe, and think ahead:

you characterize different types of typical robotic applications according to their performance characteristics and create model-based representations of relevant performance characteristics using app4mc. * use your creativity and freedom:

your first research challenge is the generation of synthetic code with a trustworthy representation of robotic applications characteristics. the second research challenge is the derivation of analytic model based on systematic benchmarking using the developed framework (e. g. which performance characteristics have the largest impact on the over system performance during execution). qualifications * education:

studies in the field of computer engineering, electrical engineering or similar with good grades * personality and working practice:

structured, goal-oriented and self-motivated * experience:

experience in system modeling approaches in the embedded domain as well as knowledge about embedded computer architectures * knowledge:
