- Creating, developing and implementing electrical safety training plans
- Reviewing and monitoring electrical activity tasks such as outages, LOTO, energized work and near energized activity
- Electrical auditing (Quality Assurance, QA)of electrical systems and components
- Understanding and interpreting electrical safety standards; the National Electric Code (NEC), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)70E, NESC (National Electrical Safety Code) and overseeing and managing the NFPA 70E program
- Applying knowledge of industrial or commercial grade electrical applications, and existing electrical Operations and Maintenance(O&M) and construction activities
- Monitoring and measuring electrical safety management program elements. Reporting electrical safety management performance results to senior management.
- Reviewing, developing and modifying electrical safety specifications for internal operations, subcontractors, GC, and/or Owner Representative; and providing input on bid decisions, proposal development and estimates (scope, constraints, schedules, budgets) for integration and compliance with safety requirements i.e., subcontract development support
- Mentoring subordinate electrical safety professionals and cross training with other safety professionals, and communicating multiple code/standards interpretation to field level personnel
- Remaining current with all regulatory, operational, and technical matters relative to electrical safety management
- Participating in meetings with customers, project team members, and contractors/subcontractors and advising on project-specific Risk and Hazard mitigation plans, S&H training program, and technical reports
- 10+ years of electrical safety management experience
- 5-7 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in an electrical engineering discipline or safety management discipline with electrical safety management experience
- 3-5 years of experience with a Master's degree or
- Masters level electrical license with extensive experience with power systems
- Experience conducting S&H training, Regulatory compliance expert/1910, 1926, EM-385
- Safety Management Systems knowledge, skill and experience
- ANSI-Z10, OHSAS 18001, ISO 31000
- Understanding of culture and culture building skills
- OSHA 500/502 - Safety and Health / Occupational Safety degree from an ABET accredited program
- Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP)
- Willingness to pursue Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
- Previous electrical / construction / industrial /federal and commercial S&H experience, Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP)
