Subject Matter Expert Explosion Safety (m/f/d) YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead and moderate an interdisciplinary team and document the results of the risk assessment in an explosion protection document (EPPD) or via a management of change procedure in order to develop robust explosion protection concepts for new or existing highly complex processes * Participate in the A3-certification meeting to support the development of explosion protection concepts for the interior of plants (avoidance of explosive mixtures/avoidance of ignition sources/limitation of effects) * Perform ignition hazard analyses and lead or participate in the technical inspection of explosion safety of installations (initial and recurrent) * Support regional hubs in process and plant safety (PPS hubs) with respect to explosion protection * Support of the permitting process for new production plants or updating of permitting documents for existing plants * Lead/participate in an incident investigation to improve the protection concepts and their implementation in the plant * Support internal working groups/committees in the development of tools and know-how for PPS activities * Leading role in the preparation of knowledge documents and the implementation of PPS training and education measures for explosion protection * Employee development via mentoring of prospective PPS practitioners or PPS maintainers at Bayer * Active participation and collaboration in the program development and implementation of the PPS academy and active participation in external committees in the field of explosion protection WHO YOU ARE * Completed university degree (diploma or master) in the field of process engineering, physics, chemistry or biology;

a doctorate is of advantage * Several years of professional experience in the operation of chemical plants or process engineering, ideally in the chemical industry * Theoretical and practical expertise in the field of explosion protection and in the development of explosion protection concepts as well as knowledge of relevant directives and internal and external regulations desirable * Strategic thinker (m/f/d) with innovative flair for original thinking in new areas without established routines and processes * High degree of commitment as well as ability to take action for continuous improvement * Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken YOUR APPLICATION Are you looking for a new challenge where you can show your passion for innovation?
