ABOUT THE TEAM

The SAP Open Source Program Office:
Is the central entry-point for all Open Source related topics at SAP
Supports and enables all SAP teams to benefit from Open Source while managing the risks & challenges according to the SAP compliance rules
Helps to position SAP as a leading company and supporter in the Open Source community by initiating and supporting Open Source engagements and communitie

Manages open source projects on Github.com/SAP

THE ROLE

The meaning and importance of Open Source software (OSS) increased significantly over the last decades. SAP is not only consuming OSS but published a significant number of OSS projects during the recent years. The most prominent one, is probably the Corona Warn App. All SAP OSS projects are published on GitHub. You would help us to administer our GitHub organizations and automate the publishing process with tools.

Therefore, we expect experience in using (and ideally administering) GitHub organizations and repositories and programming skills.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

You are currently an enrolled student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
Experience using tools such as GitHub
Experience in developing tools/application based on GitHub
Experience working in JavaScript
Good communication skills and a fast learner
Advantage: Very good developing skills, working with GitHub APIs
