Field Application Engineer

 
As part of our strategy to build a major unit for system engineering in Germany, we are extending our sales and pre-sales team in Dusseldorf with a Field Application Engineering position.

Job specification

Based on our portfolio of Gas-Sensors and a modern Sensor-Platform, you will develop advanced Sensor OnBoard and Sensor InCase solutions in close co-operation with our customers’ control system designers. You will collaborate with and be supported by our product and software development teams in Sweden.

You will be working closely with our Sales Leader in Germany / USA in developing customer relations and making proposals for diverse types of solutions. You will travel frequently throughout the EMEA region. You will be a key contributor in growing the Senseair Business Unit Air & Gas Sensing.

Competence and experience

The profile we are looking for is:

• A higher academic degree in engineering with physics engineering profile
• Experience in electronic & HW-Architecture
• Fluent in German and good skills in English or at least one more language is highly preferred.
• At least 3 years of sales or field application engineering experience
• Knowledge of gas detection principles highly preferred but not required
• Experience in HVAC industry preferred but not required
• Exceptionally strong self-starter who is comfortable in a matrixed environment and has excellent personal time management skills
• Strategic mindset and good business acumen
• High level of energy, and clear bias towards action
• Good leadership skills and take ownership mentality
• Collaborative and effective team player with ability to motivate, inspire and influence
• Collaborate with Engineering staff members in Sweden in the design and development of high value oriented product solutions
• Interpret customer performance requirements in order to develop optimally priced advanced solutions for them
• International experience required and comfortable with regular business travel
• Customer oriented with excellent communication skills

You enjoy traveling and have the ability to work independently as well as in teams. Driver’s license is required. Experience in HVAC and HVAC-R control systems is preferred.
