A rapidly-growing medical device business within the home infusion industry is currently seeking a Commercial Director to strategically grow the European business. The position will be highly autonomous with the right individual putting together and executing the strategy across Europe across all sales, marketing and business development functions.

 
Key responsibilities

:
 

• Strategic business development of the European business

 
 

• Management and growth of distribution network – negotiating contracts, analysis of new markets, training and management of dealers

 

• Developing plans for approaching and growing the European business

 

• Establishing distribution marketing strategies

 
 

• Working autonomously to run European business with the guidance of the senior leadership team

 

• Travelling across Europe to meet with distributors, KOLs, key customers and attend training events/exhibitions/conferences

 
 
Key requirements

:
 

• Significant experience within the medical device industry, home infusion experience is not essential but would be highly beneficial

 

• Minimum 7+ years in a leadership position

 

• Experience in managing distributors and well connected to distribution partners across Europe – particularly within this space would be highly beneficial

 

• Must have worked on international level across Europe previously

 

• Experienced in business development, within a larger business or in growing up a smaller business from the group upwards to achieve sales targets

 

• Strong strategic business acumen – able to put together a strategic plan as to how to approach and grow the European market and discuss this with the senior leadership team

 

• Able to execute strategic business growth plan

 

• Able to travel extensively across Europe as required

 

• Strong communication skills, people-focussed and team builder. Want to be part of something that is growing and not afraid of a challenge
