Role and Responsibilities

  • You will conduct data gap analyses and will develop registration strategies for the environmental fate and ecotoxicology of chemicals according to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 (REACH)
  • You will assess the hazard profile of chemicals based on scientific literature or study reports including derivation of the respective reference values for the environment
  • You will prepare and defend justifications for read across according to RAAF standard
  • You will prepare and defend justifications for read across according to RAAF standard
  • You will participate at seminars, workshops, webinars and scientific conferences to maintain up-to-date knowledge in the area of regulatory ecotoxicology

Profile and Qualifications

  • You have an University degree in biology, agricultural or environmental science or equivalent; PhD degree would be a benefit
  • You have at least five years of relevant experience regarding registration and evaluation of chemicals
  • You have experience with special substance classes like nano materials, inorganic substances, and/or polymers
  • You have excellent language skills in English (spoken and written); German and additional language skills would be an asset
  • Knowledge of the IUCLID software application is an asset
  • You are strongly motivated, self-starter with excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a global team
