Lead Platform Engineer

Beschreibung und Aufgaben:

• Leading Master team responsible for creating and maintaining tools and solutions for our client's Software as a Service Platform
• Helping to develop effective alerts to identify and address reliability risks of our client's services
• Leading transition towards infrastructure as a code, bringing DevOps mindset to the team
• Transforming existing environment into cloud native one
• Providing guidance to the team on how to optimize and enhance the software with new, efficient algorithms and technologies as well platform independent features using C++
• Being responsible for ensuring efficient implementation and for code of the highest quality within a continuous integration environment
• Recommending and implementing improvements to architecture / technologies to further enhance the systems and codebase regarding reliability, maintainability, scalability and performance
• Overseeing the on-call rotation
• Monitoring the latest technical developments in your field and initiating improvements

Das zeichnet Sie aus:

• Preferably a university degree in computer science, software engineering, any related discipline or relevant work experience
• Leadership experience is an advantage
• 5+ years of professional experience in the field of object-oriented software development using C++ (14+) or DevOps environment
• Experience in any of the following fields is desirable: parallel programming, distributed and scalable systems, cloud, test automation or network communication
• Structured and analytical way of thinking / working, being a team player, as well as motivated to learn new things
• Fluency in English, written and spoken
• German is a plus
