YOUR TEAM
Our department Product and Portfolio Management is responsible for managing all of CARIAD's products over their lifetime. The division “Business Development & Partner management” is responsible for CARIAD’s investment strategy and its assigned non-controlled subsidiaries. We act as entrepreneurs and business owners to secure state of the art customer functions, competitiveness and profitability. As well as CARIAD’s partnering strategy focusing the two big pillars ADAS AD Platform and In-cabin experience is the first contact point for partners. We act as entrepreneurs and business owners to secure state of the art customer functions, competitiveness and profitability.As a newly founded team, we are looking for team leader who has extensive knowledge in managing strategic partnerships in the automotive and software industry. Preferably, we are looking for team members in one of our German locations or San Jose (USA).
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Development and realization of a global M&A strategy for the Group
- Execution of M&A projects worldwide with the support of your team and the Volkswagen Group
- Support and management of the relevant processes throughout the entire transaction, from preparation, contacting and due diligence to (contract) negotiations and signing
- Establishment of a network of contacts for short-, medium- and long-term acquisition targets
- Responsibility for the management of the cooperation with partners from the identification, qualification and acquisition of new partners
- Cooperation with the brands of the Volkswagen Group in order to create a single contact point to the partners
- Act as the counterpart for the Volkswagen Group, brands and further departments to streamline requirements
WHO YOU ARE
- Successfully completed studies in the area of business management, (business) engineering or similar field with 10+ years of professional experience
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities at different stages of development and effectively move through the pipeline to achieve short, mid and long term sales targets
- Effective client management skills by engaging through experience thus influencing senior executives
- Strong collaborater with the ability to build productive relationships and work well with people at all levels in an organization
- Outstanding and proven leadership skills for own team as well as cross functional teams
- Passion for the tech industry and transformation as well as profound cross-industrial understanding of trends, technology and mobility market
- Excellent communication skills in English, desirable German skills; any other language is welcome
