Principal Integration Architect for Pharma Data Assets (m/f/d) YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES "Digital transformation of the core" is an essential pillar of the Bayer Pharmaceuticals' strategy. With this strategy, we accelerate our data science and technology capabilities across the value chain to improve outcomes and productivity. To do so, we decouple core data assets from light-weight agile software products that consume and generate data. It is the purpose of this role to contribute to the creation, implementation and continuous improvement of the Data Assets of Bayer Pharmaceuticals. We define Data Assets as data sources with a high value potential from re-use across the value chain. Data Assets are data products that provide programmatic access to these sources for data scientists and computer systems. * Identify the PH business drivers and requirements to define and deliver the data integration roadmap for the digital strategy of Bayer Pharmaceuticals * Own and drive Pharma 360 foundational roadmap, develop our as-is and future data integration capabilities, incl. technical and organizational capabilities * Define and manage the integration architecture, direction and execution of all associated data asset engineering products for Bayer Pharma * Define technical standards & guidelines and review process and enable cross product teams to orchestrate seamless integration architecture across the Pharmaceuticals value chain * Lead integration streams of multiple multi-functional engineering teams concurrently, and manage resources to ensure on-time delivery * Consult with product teams to fit projects to architecture, as well as to identify when it is necessary to modify the architecture to accommodate cross-product integration needs * Build strong relationships and communities with engineering, stewardship, strategy teams to support asset investment and development * Create new thought leadership content around the value of interoperable data assets for our blog, white papers, conferences, etc. WHO YOU ARE * University degree (M. Sc.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or in a related discipline, PhD is preferred * Long-term engineering management experience, building and leading diverse and highly talented teams at Internet-scale * Several years of experience leading Enterprise Architecture and digital roadmap definition and execution * Proven leadership skills with IT teams in life sciences across the Pharmaceuticals value chain, e. G. research, development, medical, safety, product supply and/or commercial * Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to grow relationships with key partners and suppliers as well as strong analytic and quantitative analysis skills * Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations using critical thinking skills and be decisive while working cooperatively with others * Experience with modern engineering technologies and data principles, for instance:
