Lead Instrumentation Designer | 9 Months | Cologne, Germany
 
Due to the award of a new project, my client is currently looking for an experienced individual to join their team as a Lead Instrument Designer based in Cologne, Germany on an initial 9 month contract, within the Petrochemical industry. Along it will be an initial 9 months, the likelihood of this contract being extended is relatively high as this will be an ongoing project. Please see below a brief description of the role, along with the necessary requirements;

 

The Role:

  • Executing assigned scopes of work.
  • Check and approve revised drawings.
  • Develop and take ownership of design specifications and drawings for assigned discipline deliverables.
  • Ensure the use of appropriate technology, design methods, software and application of industry best practice at all times.
  • Work alongside the Principle Engineer to ensure that all disciplines are executed within budget and schedule, while maintaining technical integrity.
  • Be proficient in the understanding of and usage of Company & Client standards, procedures and practices.
 

Requirements:

  • Must hold a HNC/HND qualification or equivalent.
  • Competent in the execution of standards, processes and procedures to effect delivery of operations excellence.
  • Intellectually capable, can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a practical context.
  • Must have extensive relative experience within design instrumentation.
  • Must hold extensive experience within the Petrochemical industry.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge with industry and technology development within discipline area.
  • German language skills are attractive, but not essential.
  • Must have the right to work in the EU, this position cannot sponsor a visa.
