Application Software Engineer Avionics (m/w/d) – Mannheim

 

My client:

On behalf of my client I am looking for an Application Software Engineer in the aerospace sector. As one of the largest suppliers in the development and production of customized electronics solutions, my client wants to strengthen his software development division. You will work in an international cross-functional team to work on cutting edge aerospace technology.

 
I am looking specifically for candidates that are motivated an eager to apply their experience to innovative topics within the aerospace industry. The Ideal candidate brings experience in the design, development and test of application software. You will work closely with the foundation level software team to coordinate, support and lead the developmental process.

 

Tasks:

  • Software development in all phases according to DO-178C
  • Cross functional interaction with supporting teams from project management and customers to ensure quality and on time delivery
  • Prepare Project development proposals to ensure best practice and efficient development
  • Functional leadership of foundation software developers
 

Mandatory Skills:

  • Successful studies in the likes of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or mechanical engineering
  • Citizenship of NATO Member is mandatory
  • Profound knowledge with programming languages Ada and C/C++
  • Experience in functional safety
  • Fluent English skills are mandatory, German is a plus

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with GUI (Tools: QT, Java Swing, VAPS)
  • Knowledge on Bus protocols (CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI)
  • Experience with script languages (e.g. Python, Perl)
