Job description The Client Architect is an IT Enterprise Architect, representing Unisys as the technical authority to our client and will have overall responsibility for the technology program on the Henkel account. The Client Architect represents the technical single point of contact and primary Unisys technical representative Assisting the Client Executive and operational teams in delivering the contracted services, the primary focus is on working with the customer and making proactive recommendations based on the client's IT and business needs.. Expanding our relationship and engagement by creating compelling solutions from across our portfolio and beyond to deliver value adding solutions, supporting the client to achieve its business outcomes. Working as a trusted advisor to the customer in respect of our scope of contracted services, providing insight and guidance on future innovations and technical roadmaps. The individual acts as a true client advocate, ensuring the client's voice is heard in all functions and activities, and that this influences Unisys' priorities and behaviors. The Client Architect has a deep understanding of the customer's key IT and business challenges, focus areas and business objectives, and is able to specify business value from the client's perspective. This role requires intimate understanding of the customer behaviors, drivers and values through data analytics, qualitative means, living the client's life and strong valued relationships. A strong technical knowledge in combination with a consultative approach is key. The Client Architect works with mostly virtual teams and Unisys Global Delivery and Capability Leads to identify opportunities, deliver contracted services and / or change projects. The goal is to improve performance, generate and demonstrate greater value and consistently contribute to drive up the client satisfaction and its measurement as a key account metric. The client architect has an open-minded hands-on mentality, working as transparently as possible always considering possible application scenarios and use cases while planning innovations and considering future technologies. The Client Architect is responsible for taking a leadership role in Strategic Business Planning, Service Excellence and Improvement and Applied Innovation Programs, whilst ensuring improved Governance maturity. The role will report directly to the EMEA Solution Architecture Leader and dotted line to the Unisys Client Executive for Henkel. As strong partnership with the Unisys Client executive as part of the account leadership is very important. Trust, transparency, reliability and support are values and behaviours that bind that strong relationship and will ensure continued success with the client. As the role will entail working face to face with the client in Düsseldorf, any non-Ruhr area candidate can expect regular travel to Düsseldorf to meet client collaboration needs. The candidate needs to be willing to be flexible in regards to working hours and travel requirements especially whilst establishing the viability of a non Düsseldorf based model. Candidate Characteristics and Behaviours :
- Customer facing and presentation skills. The attributes and character to build long term relationships. * Strong technology solutions and services experience to build respect, rapport and credibility with the customer stakeholders * Good knowledge in infrastructure technology esp. (servers, DC, Active Directory, Network services) * Proactive in taking the initiative, a self starter with out of the box thinking, open minded * Takes ownership, works with limited direction and drives topics to a result * Team Player goes beyond the responsibilities of the role in order to successfully close topics. * Ability to work with and lead virtual teams * Understands what is important to achieve the right results, does not need detailed guidance. * Appetite for continuous learning behaviour. * Curious about innovations and its relevance to the customer. * Ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation and customer stakeholders. * Commercial and financial acumen, understanding the impact of cost levers and price. * Able to participate in contract negotiations and experience in creating contractual documents.
