At P&G, we are constantly creating new and exciting products for our brands. R&DGlobal Devices - Electronics isserving Grooming, Oral-B andother business units withelectronic solutions. Electronics plays an important role in the innovation plans ofP&Gs electro - mechanicaldevices like shaver, epilators, powered toothbrushes etc. Manyof the functions (connectivity, smartness) will be mostlyenabled by highly sophisticatedelectronic modules. Oneimportant component is the battery as energy source. Several aspects haveto be takeninto account regardingperformance, lifetime andsafety. Job Responsibilities As abattery expert for our Global Devices you are responsible for thedevelopment and management of:Application-specific characterization of Lithium-ion cells Selection and definition of test methods for Lithium-ion cells and Li-ion battery modules Analysis of test results, evaluation and presentation of test results and selection of the cell chemistry according to appliance requirements Coordination of external test institutes activities Development of new methods to predict long-term behavior of battery characteristics within dedicated product applications Qualifications In addition to a strong academicqualification in e. G Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics or Physical Chemistry we request:
Profound knowledge and proven professional work experience in the field of Lithium-ion batteries Knowledge of electro-chemical processes, development of battery management systems, charging components and functional safety in the field of Lithium-ion and NiMH batteries Awareness of regulatory requirements Together with great English writing and speaking skills, we also seek for talents who stand out in creativity, innovation, drive for results, communication, leadership and the ability to work with others.
