Senior Project Manager / Project Co-ordinator

EUR80000 - EUR100000 per annum + Negotiable salary plus benefits
THE ROLE
I am seeking a Senior Project Manager or Senior Project Co-ordinator in the Building Construction industry who has good or fluent German to join a firm of property investors in their Berlin office.

The initial project which will last for around 4 years is a large student accommodation building in Leipzig.
You will work on projects from feasibility to project delivery and you will deal with international clients through to contractors on site. 
Experience in the use of the VOB and other contractors is required and previous experience of working on hotels, student accommodation or high rise residential is preferred.

THE COMPANY
My client is a successful firm of property investors with large high value properties in the UK, Europe and further afield.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Graduate with a Degree in a construction related subject e.g. Construction Management, Construction Project Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Civil Engineering etc.

Ideally you may also be Chartered i.e. MICE, MCIOB, MRICS or similar.
You will need to have gained around ten years post graduation experience or more in a building construction related role and have gained a number of years in project management working on projects from inception through delivery.

You will need experience of the preparation of development appraisals for presentation to the Board.
You will ideally have been working for a firm of building construction consultants or similar to have gained project management experience from feasibility to delivery.

You should be able to create the planning phase tender documents and negotiate and deal with award of contracts and appointments.
You will need experience of liaising with planners, contractors and statutory authorities.
You must have a good understanding of all commercial and economic aspects of construction projects of high value.
Any experience of Technical and Commercial Due Diligence would be useful although not essential.
You will need fluent or very good written and spoken German. Good English is also preferred. 
Good communication skills are essential.
Support will be given if you are not already chartered.

Salary is negotiable according to experience but in the region of Euro 80000 to 100,000 per annum plus other benefits.
