As Data Warehouse Engineer (all genders) you will take a key role in the ongoing development, maintenance and architectural evolution of our data warehousing systems. You will be shaping the future of our data warehouse solution based on big data technologies and be responsible for collecting, processing and providing data in accordance with decisive business requirements.

Your Job:

• You will be in control of our data warehouse solution and be in charge of implementing new requirements as well as continually improving existing solutions, both on a technical level as well as on the logical level
• Our data warehouse processes an influx of several hundred gigabytes of data per day from stream and batch sources into an analytical database cluster
• Your work comprises the full spectrum of data management, including data modelling, data integration, as well as aggregating data for analytical consumption and reporting
• You will be conceiving and implementing ETL jobs, integrating and aggregating data from many disparate internal and external sources, advancing data quality and consistency
• You keep an eye on providing reliable, easy to use solutions, which allow efficient day-to-day operations by yourself and your team members, regarding system maintenance as well as the development of new ETL pipelines and business reports
• You will be in direct contact with stakeholders and analysts from business departments and game studios, understanding their business requirements and translating them into technical solutions

Your Profile:

• University level degree in computer science or equivalent education
• At least 4 years professional experience with the concepts, administration and usage of relational databases
• Several years of experience with one or more ETL tool such as Pentaho, Talend, or similar
• Hands-on experience with operations of data warehouse middleware on Linux
• You are proficient in Linux shell scripting
• Experience with cloud data warehousing technologies is a plus
• Professional experience with big data technologies like Hadoop is considered as a plus
• You are a reliable problem solver, quick to grasp new ideas and technologies, keep an eye on the bigger picture, and love to take ownership of your assignments
• You like to communicate proactively with stakeholders and team members, and seek opportunities to improve the products you are working on
