Summary:
.- The role will focus on leading the Region /Area initiatives with a primary focus on Marketing Spend
- The role of the Indirect Procurement Manager – Germany, CHAT & CEE is to develop category strategies aligned with internal key stakeholders that drive total cost savings and increase spends under Procurement management
- The role will utilize spend analytics, sourcing management processes and tools to rationalize supply base, negotiate all terms and conditions, secure signed contracts, manage key supplier relationships, ensure continuity of business
- Additionally, the Indirect Procurement Manager – Germany, CHAT & CEE will create category efficiencies that align with procurement processes and policies, while managing internal stakeholder engagement and customer service over multiple business segments
Scope/Dimensions of Role:
- Responsible for a category portfolio to be sourced regionally (DACH & Nordics). Working on a cross-functional basis and become a sourcing expert for his/her own category portfolio
- Lead key Regional initiatives, as well as selected projects or categories of spends with potential for Area consolidation
- Support to implement Procurement strategy for DACH & Nordics. Entitled to present and decide or get approval for procurement strategies and contracting terms. Takes relevant decisions when conducting sourcing processes regardless of total spend
- The position has a direct impact on corporate measurements and results such as COP and NWC
- Developing world-class suppliers that can bring or jointly develop innovative products, will also impact top line growth
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of a supplier base that can generate a competitive advantage
- The role includes activities in order to design a proper supplier base across DACH & Nordics to keep a relationship with major suppliers that will guarantee access to innovation
- Cost, quality & service, innovation, speed to market, fast roll-out and net working capital improvement are the most important business needs with different focus and prioritization in the managed portfolio
- It also includes preparing assumptions for budgeting process for the managed portfolio in alignment with Finance and Budget owners
- As this is a new position due to the centralization of indirect procurement, there is a lot of scope for the successful candidate to define the exact responsibilities and have the freedom to shape the role in accordance with their ideas more specifically
Responsibilities:
- Develops and drives implementation of DACH & Nordics sourcing strategies for selected categories
- Works closely with Regional key stakeholders in understanding needs, objectives and priorities to optimize total cost, quality, and service
- Collaborates with key stakeholders and works cross-functionally in developing and executing sound sourcing strategies in partnership with internal stakeholders and vendors
- Understands indirect material spends across the business, analyses category markets and translates into actionable strategies and forward-looking analyses. Identifies, selects and develops suppliers, negotiates and contracts within portfolio and supply based in alignment with RB Global strategy
- Establishes strategic relationships with the supply base and implements supplier management strategies. Motivates suppliers to treat the company as a preferred customer in presenting innovation and/or cost/efficiency projects
- Accountable to continuously improve supplier performance including service and quality.
- Prepares budget assumptions for portfolio in line with DACH & Nordics Strategies and assumptions
- Identifies and monitor risks and opportunities related to each category. Drive the organization to mitigate identified risks and to quickly implement opportunities adopting creative solutions
- Designs, verifies and amends contracts in conjunction with the Legal Dept. Special attention is dedicated to protecting intellectual property, minimize liabilities, exclusivity period of innovation, ensure availability and cost improvement
- Acts to continuously deliver COP improvement and NWC
Is this you?
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Finance or similar (Berufsakademie)
- Degree qualified preferably in Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Business or other relevant disciplines. MBA advantageous
- 2+ years’ work experience
- Proven Category Management expertise, within Indirect, ideally with exposure across Marketing and Facility Management
- Familiar with leading complex, cross-functional, sourcing projects
- Ability to work in a truly global organization. Proven experience in working in a fast moving and result-driven environment which demands to work under pressure
- Unsurpassed negotiation techniques with exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills

- Flexibility to travel on a regular basis
