Team Lead Purchasing (m/f/d)

Position

We are currently seeking a highly qualified and visionary individual to join our team as Team Lead Purchasing. The role involves overseeing and optimizing all purchasing activities. Your primary focus is on ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations align with business objectives. Leading and developing a small purchasing team, you collaborate closely with Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing, and Quality Management. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Management, your responsibilities contribute to the seamless integration of procurement processes within the broader organizational framework.

Tasks

• Oversee the procurement of both direct (raw materials, packaging) and indirect materials (consumables, technical goods, and services) at Pentapharm
• Lead the purchasing team, driving excellence and fostering collaboration
• Formulate and implement strategic sourcing initiatives and risk mitigation strategies to enhance overall procurement efficiency
• Optimize the end-to-end purchase-to-pay process and collaborate with stakeholders to select and qualify suppliers
• Manage product documentation, purchase contracts, and participate in cross-functional projects
• Maintain accurate material and supplier data in the ERP system for streamlined operations

Qualification

• Completed academical studies with Business Administration and/or Chemistry background
• Additional education in procurement/sourcing, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Proven experience in operational purchasing, particularly within the dynamic landscape of small businesses, with a preference for the life science industry.
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, essential for navigating complex business environments
• Demonstrated leadership experience with small teams, showcasing your ability to inspire and guide colleagues
• Proven capability to handle intricate assignments independently
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and hands-on experience with ERP systems, reflecting your technological acumen
