At Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology, We offer flexible, configurable process tools and leading-edge processes for the precise, controllable and repeatable engineering of micro- and nano-structures. Our systems provide process solutions for the etching of nanometre sized features, nanolayer deposition and the controlled growth of nanostructures.

These solutions are based on core technologies in plasma-enhanced deposition and etch, ion-beam deposition and etch, atomic layer deposition, deep silicon etch and physical vapour deposition.

Role Purpose

:
A critical part of our business strategy is to grow our existing production business and develop new production customers. You will be a key part of the Plasma Technology Sales Team, with accountability for:

1. Meeting your order and revenue targets in your territory
2. Identifying and maximising new production customer opportunities
3. Developing long term, sustainable relationships with our customers
4. Representing Plasma at conferences, trade fairs and networking events.

Your Key Responsibilities


:
Agree and deliver your sales targets, delivering the best solutions for your customer.
Manage your portfolio of customers. Identify new opportunities and prioritise existing production accounts
Develop long-term relationships with ‘lighthouse’ companies
Personally, lead major bids and win at best price and terms, supported by other members of the Sales and Applications team, as appropriate.
Develop strong relationships with new and existing channel partners
Liaise with colleagues across Plasma in order to gain the benefits of common, best practice processes and to exploit cross-selling opportunities.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with staff in all functions and areas Oxford Instruments. Share feedback from your customers to develop market intimacy within Plasma. Work particularly closely with Product Management, Marketing, Commercial and Customer Support to optimise the introduction of new products and offerings.

Build and maintain close and effective working relationships with key customers.
Participate in all relevant marketing activities on product promotion.
Maintain professional awareness of relevant external technical and business developments and competitor activity.
Carry out any other tasks that may be reasonably requested by the Company from time to time
Influence the behavioural safety within Plasma Technology through your own example, setting high standards and expectations
Implement the health, safety and environmental policies, taking appropriate action to promote relevant continuous improvement.

Education/Qualifications:

Degree level qualification in relevant scientific discipline, with sales/marketing specialisation.

:
Fluent German - i.e. the ability to negotiate commercial terms
Experience of working in a high technology, rapidly changing business environment. Familiar with product and process applications
Knowledge in sales and account management. Understands high tech/capital equipment industry, preferably semiconductor related, but at least a broad understanding of the technologies associated with semiconductors

Strong selling/consulting experience into production customers.
