Job Description About the opportunity Department Description The HR Advisor/Business Partner team in Europe provides HR support to approximately 700 employees across 15 counties in the region. The team works closely with HR Centres of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Compensation & Benefits, HR Shared Services) as well the broader HR Busines Partner community to maximise the effectiveness of the HR Group and to contribute to the implementation of HR initiatives which support the overall strategic objectives of Fidelity's European Business and are consistent with the corporate culture and values. Purpose of the Role Reporting to the Head of HR Europe, the purpose of this role is to deliver HR support to managers and employees in the assigned business areas (German Platform Business) by aligning HR policies/practices to business goals. A particular focus of this role will be to coach and support middle management in their people management skills and personal development as we look to strengthen our management calibre and succession planning. Key Responsibilities * Work closely with the identified business managers to support the delivery of goals and objectives for the supported business areas * Work with line managers to ensure effective talent and succession planning processes, including development plans are in place, targeting high potential employees * Work with line managers to drive the employee engagement agenda considering employee engagement results * Work with line managers to understand motivation and retention issues and manage employee relations issues * Contribute to change management initiatives, which may include consultation with groups and individuals * Collaborate with HR legal, implement employment law with a balanced perspective:

advise, guide and support line managers and employees * Contribute to salary and bonus review for assigned business areas, communicating and coordinating with all relevant parties, advising and supporting line managers in relation to their recommendations, maintaining objectivity and fairness at all times and ensuring accuracy of data throughout the process. * Contribute to HR projects About you Experience and Qualifications Required * Graduate certificate or equal (e. g. business administration) - ideally with focus on HR * 1-3years work experience in HR, ideally in a HR Advisor /HR Business Partner or HR Generalist role * Good understanding of German labour law * Ability to build relationships and credibility at all levels * Experience of working in a matrix, customer focussed, dynamic, commercially driven environment. * Commitment to high standards of excellence, demonstrates drive to succeed in a changing environment * Can-do attitude, working on own initiative * Collegiate, ability to work well with colleagues across the range of HR functions, sharing ideas and building on best practice * Strong prioritisation, organisational and time management skills * Fluent in English and German * Good PC skills (all Microsoft office tools) About Fidelity International Fidelity International offers world class investment solutions and retirement expertise.
