Cloud DevOps Engineer (m/f/x)
Tasks:
SummaryProvide outcomes to facilitate the successful deployment of applications on infrastructure stacks; artifact/code repositories, upgrades, patching. Also responsible for operational health: metrics, logging, alerting, inventory, capacity, and billing/tag management
- Sets up and adapts the DevOps Toolchain for digital MVPs
- Sets up monitoring and logging tools
- Decides the sequence and level of automation with the product teams
Qualifications:
- Degree in in computer science or equivalent through experience
- Proven experience supporting production environments on Linux and Windows platforms
- Expert level experience in the deployment and support of infrastructure and applications
- Practical working knowledge with CI (e.g. Git, Lint, JUnit, Jenkins, Ansible or Saltstack), Configuration management (e.g. Chef, Puppet) and CD for PaaS (e.g. CloudFoundry, OpenShift) or Docker (e.g. Swarm, Kubernetes, Mesos)
- Good technical knowledge of current network hardware and standards
- Strong ability to solve operational problems, with ability to identify and automate common routines (using REST APIs, PowerShell or similar)
- Working experience with Monitoring and Logging Tools
- Scripting experience with either PowerShell, Python, or similar
- Excellent technical aptitude and a desire to learn constantly
- Analytical and communication skills: provides clear recommendations with regards to technical decisions
- Experience in Agile Development, with specific DevOps (or similar) role preferred
- Experience managing technical priorities within the backlog
- Certification(s) in a Linux administration in any distribution.
- Is a team player, comfortable with open communication in an agile cross functional team
- Has a strong focus on business outcomes
- Excited about trying new solutions, hands-on mentality
- Promotes free thought – is energized by ideas from others in team
- Is brave and rebellious, willing to challenge status quo
