Job Description In order to scale up our innovative chemical plant in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Skeleton Technologies is looking for a skilled and experienced Chemical Engineer (m/ f/div ) Skeleton Technologies is Europe's leading manufacturer of ultracapacitors and has achieved global breakthroughs in product performance using patented graphene-based materials. We deliver high power and high energy storage solutions across industries including the automotive, aerospace, industrial and renewables sectors. As Chemical Engineer and the newest addition to Skeleton's Cell Development Team, you will be part of our Chemical Engineering Team in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, where will be responsible for plannin and seting up a pilot scale production of curved graphene. You will be able to use your experience from previous piloting or scale up processes and at the same time develop your existing skills further and gain new ones. You will be assigned the following tasks * Design and implementation of exixting reactor technology for pilot plant production * Creating of P&IDs, PFDs, drawings and 3D models * Be responsible for mass and energy balances * Be responsible for the sizing of equipment * Participate in safety stuides * Create standard operation docuements and standard work instructions for pilot plant * Design and implmenetation of operational safety concepts * Design and implementation of automation concepts for the existing pilot reactor technology Requirements * You are a good fit for the team if you can tick off the following boxes * You have experience in scaling chemical synthesis processes in the range of 5 to 50 tons annual capacity * You have at least 5 years of industrial experience in chemical engineering, high temperature reactor engineering and automation preferred * You have knowledge of gas solid reactions and scaled operatins thereof * You have knowledge of engineering and operations design related to corrosive or toxic gases * You have knowledge of 2D and 3D drawing software (Solidworks, Visio or similar) * You have knowledge of automation process engineering * You are knowledgeable about German regulations regarding health and safety, lead times and budgets. * You have experience in the field of process modelling and simulation with Aspen. * Strong ability for abstract and structured thinking as well as to constitute those in the team. * Independent thinking combined with initiative in innovation and good problem-solving abilities. * You feel very comfortable speaking English. German skills are a plus.
