THE ROLE
I am seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the Building Construction industry who speaks English and German to join a firm of construction consultants to work in MUNICH, GERMANY.

You are likely to have a Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or other construction / built environment subject with at least five years or more quantity surveying experience.

Ideally you will be MRICS or similarly qualified.
You will do both pre contract and post contract work so a background in private practice quantity surveying is required.
You will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects for commercial, residential, industrial and other projects.
You will work closely with clients, contractors etc. on high value projects from inception and feasibility stage to project delivery.

My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing both cost management and project management services worldwide.
Their Munich office is one of several German offices.
They provide both cost management and project management services.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager, with good English and German language skills.
German language will ideally be at B2 level or beyond.
You will need to have a Degree or Diploma in a Construction / Built environment subject and have good previous quantity surveying and cost management experience ideally with both pre and post contract work experience. You may also be MRICS or similarly qualified.

Experience of feasibility, cost planning, cost estimating, tender documentation, contract administration, variations, final accounts and more is required. Any experience of project monitoring would also be useful.

You should be able to run your own projects.
You should have gained experience as a Quantity Surveyor working specifically for another firm of quantity surveying consultants or with a multi disciplinary firm of consultants.

Excellent prospects for ambitious candidates to work closely with clients and the professional teams.
You will need to be able to work in the E.U. as my client will not organise visas.
Salary is likely to be in the region of Euro 55000 to 85000 per annum or more for the right person.
