Technical Director (f/m/d)

Our players love having new features with lots of content to play, while always having a stable game experience. We are looking for an experienced technical director that can support us in continuously delivering games that millions of players will enjoy for many years. You will be the leading force for the rest of the game developers, ensuring that we are ready to tackle all upcoming technical challenges. You will have a direct impact on how we grow the company, how we work together, and what practices we use, keeping close collaboration also with the production teams and other leadership members.

Responsibilities

• Lead game development teams in a fast-paced and agile environment with short release cycles
• Develop the existing game teams further in regard to proven game and software development practices
• Work closely with the product teams and support identifying technical improvements
• Create and maintain a technical vision that is aligned with the business priorities
• Collaborate often with a cross-functional leadership team
• Ensure maintainability, scalability, and quality within the game's codebase and shared code repositories
• Be responsible for training and recruitment of new game developers
• Support planning by estimating effort and breaking down complex projects
• Motivate and inspire
• Mentor and support the career path of team members, addressing performance issues when required

Required skills

• More than 3 years of experience in mobile game development
• Experience with leading at least one game development team
• Proven experience developing games for mobile, ideally with Unity and C#
• Broad knowledge of best practices in software engineering
• Broad knowledge of game architecture patterns
• Ability to set clear objectives and alignment over a technical vision
• An agile mindset, very familiar with agile game development practices
• Clear and precise communication skills in English
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks and projects
• Willing to constantly learn and grow further

Desirable skills

• Past experience as a Technical Director makes you a stronger candidate, but we welcome anyone that believes they are ready for the challenge
• Experience improving runtime performance and memory usage of mobile games is a plus
• Knowledge of dependency injection and reactive programming, in particular with the Zenject and UniRx libraries
• University degree in Computer Science or a related field
