limited part time company description sap started in 1972 as a team of five colleagues with a desire to do something new. together, they changed enterprise software and reinvented how business was done. today, as a market leader in enterprise application software, we remain true to our roots. that's why we engineer solutions to fuel innovation, foster equality and spread opportunity for our employees and customers across borders and cultures. sap values the entrepreneurial spirit, fostering creativity and building lasting relationships with our employees. we know that a diverse and inclusive workforce keeps us competitive and provides opportunities for all. we believe that together we can transform industries, grow economics, lift up societies and sustain our environment. because it's the best-run businesses that make the world run better and improve people's lives. purpose and objectives the asset lifecycle management (alm) team has an opening for an intern/ work student position. as part of sap's it strategic central services unit, alm offers services that enable key stakeholders in making efficient decisions in daily business & transformation. alm consists of multiple key service areas, among others, software portfolio management, asset data management & qa, and asset compliance management. the department also drives multiple board initiatives to transform our services to a world-class it asset management practice. this intern/ work student position will mainly be supporting the it asset data management service area which drives the rollout of scanning technologies to our client & server landscapes, normalization of the scanning results before being uploaded in a central asset inventory. flourish in a work environment where flexibility is essential to adapt to changing situations. expectations and tasks as a student, you will perform operational tasks to help alleviate the demand on the asset data management sub-team within alm. this will give you the opportunity to learn, experience different roles and responsibilities within the team, participate in various strategically important projects and contribute to the optimization of asset operational tasks. regular tasks involve:

• monitor regular environment scans (asset discovery) and trouble-shoot problems * assist in automating detection & resolution of asset data inconsistencies * help to establish processes to prevent such inconsistencies * support monthly management reports and quarterly newsletters education and qualifications / skills and competencies you are a currently enrolled student at a university or a university of applied sciences:
• preferred fields of study:

computer science, finance or related fields * computer skills:

microsoft office (especially excel, sql) is required, while skype, ms teams and jira is a plus * agile skills:

knowledge and experience in scrum and agile frameworks is nice to have * language skills:

fluent in english is required (written and verbal) and german is a plus * soft skills:
