Job Description Introduction Head of Propulsion Systems (m/f/d) * Weßling * Permanent * Full-time 328 Support Services GmbH, based at Oberpfaffenhofen Airport near Munich, supervises the Dornier 328 aircraft fleet globally and is the type certificate holder for the aircraft model DORNIER 328-100/300. We are a development, manufacturing and maintenance organization renowned by international aviation authorities. Our services include the development, modification, licensing, maintenance, spare part production as well as a worldwide customer service and spare part supply for the Dornier 328 fleet. Creation and certification of modifications, repairs and the production of components and assemblies like VIP-furnishings for different aircraft models are also part of our daily business. Your Tasks The Head of Propulsion Systems is disciplinary leading the department responsible for all tasks internally and externally related to the supply chain. The responsibility is to build the competences and resources necessary to ensure the required deliverables as well as defining the methods, processes and tools required to execute the activities throughout the product life cycle from early research and concept phases, programme development to continuous product support. The position responsibility includes the processes and delegations compliant with the design organisation for the relevant competences. The Head of Propulsion Systems is responsible for future benchmark positioning, including core competences, working practice such as agile and lean approaches and continuous assessment of trends and capabilities, especially as concerns sustainable and efficient alternative propulsion architectures, energy sources and related controls

Tasks & Responsibilities

:

• ramp up the required competences and capabilities according to defined deliverables and agreed head count * leading disciplinary an engineering department including competence management and tailored training concepts * implement programme and project requirements into a resource planning including core and non-core activities and a viable sub-contracting policy * ensures adequate technical, process, procedure, training and expertise of the engineering team * implement and support company strategy with proper positioning of the propulsion engineering determine future needs and trends your profile * educated engineering degree (ba eng/sc, ma eng/sc) in aeronautics / aviation or mechanical * > 8 years professional experience in relevant fields of aircraft development and product requirements * wide proficiency of airframe requirements, design criterion, materials and methods and tools * new product development experience at least of one new aircraft programme * communication and leadership skills * ability to prioritise, manage and execute multiple simultaneous tasks * assertive, pro-active, innovative and creative what we offer * a permanent employment contract with flexible working hours and 30 days of vacation a year, subsidized lunch at our canteen, group accident insurance, capital-forming benefits. * a working environment with flat hierarchies and the possibility to take on responsibility with enough room to grow and help us to shape our processes. * free parking and easy access to the public transport system - we are directly located at the a96 * become part of our team and work with us on a high-tech product
