Director Finance, Clinical Supply Services (CSS) (M/F/D) Location:
Schorndorf, Germany Position Summary The Director of Finance manages all aspects of accounting and finance for the CSS business at the Schorndorf site. The position reports directly to the VP Finance, CSS and reports to the General Manager for the Schorndorf CSS site. This position is responsible for overseeing invoicing, month end close, ensuring the integrity of the financial statements;
financial planning and analysis for the site, and ensuring proper procedures and controls are in place. This position also is the finance business partner for the site and serves as a member of the site leadership team. Comply with divisional and site Environmental Health and Safety requirements. The individual must have a strong attention to details and sense of urgency in resolving issues. The Role * Lead monthly accounting, forecast & reporting processes to ensure that Corporate, Business Unit, and Site timelines and objectives are met:
- Prepare Management presentation material and present for monthly forecast/close meetings, & OpMech meetings and QBRs * Proactively identify, analyze and present financial reporting and analysis in an accurate and timely manner to Site and Functional leaders. * Recommends and implements techniques to improve forecasting accuracy, productivity, increase efficiencies, cut costs, take advantage of opportunities, and maintain state-of-the-art practices. * Lead annual Site and Functional Budget process including development/analysis of budget targets, developing, communicating and driving the budget timeline, creating budget templates, creating/maintaining budget roll-up files, preparing budget deliverables for Site Management and BU Leadership Team. * Establish metrics, performance to the budget, forecast, and ad hoc financial/operational analysis related to fixed asset purchases, base cost management, working capital management, headcount control, and operational performance. * Revenue Recognition expertise is required. Understanding multiple element arrangements revenue guidance is necessary. Documenting the policy and instructing the site and maintain appropriate controls on this process is essential * Maintain the effectiveness of the financial controls for corporate governance and SOX compliance. The position is expected to learn about and gain a deep understanding of Catalent accounting policies as well as site policies and processes to ensure the financial statements are accurately reflected. The Candidate * Master's degree preferred with 12+ years' experience * Plant/manufacturing accounting (including inventory cost accounting) experience is needed. * Leadership experience with knowledge of JD Edwards is strongly preferred * Hyperion/HFM or some related reporting tool preferred * Strong understanding of US-GAAP, local GAAP and revenue recognition principles * Experience with Lean implementation and change management processes.
