Hobson Prior are looking for an IT Project Manager (Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning) for an exciting international career in a multicultural environment at a rare diseases organisation who are focused on accelerating the development of new orphan drugs. You will work onsite in Berlin to join a team of 7-10 people reporting into the Head Of AI

Job Responsibilities:

• Supporting and managing projects applying Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning to develop and enhance sustainable AI/ML-based IT systems.
• Communicate project status to AI/IT management and business clients, and replan if necessary.
• Recognise business needs and requirements and ensure they are met by the AI/IT environment.
• You will act as interface between business and AI and manage AI projects from start to finish.
• Develop plans and schedules for carrying out projects, identify resource and personnel needs.
• Resolve problems that arise during the project, identify and mitigate potential risks or delays.
• Contribute to build up the AI department in the highly innovative field of life sciences.

Key Skills:

• Enthusiasm for working in an international and interdisciplinary environment.
• Strong communication skills in English and / or German.
• Ability to gather business requirements and transfer these into IT specifications.

Requirements:

• Experience in applying Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning methods, frameworks, libraries, and services for solving challenging problems.
• General knowledge on Artificial Intelligence, with either a focus on knowledge-based approaches or on the full spectrum of machine learning, preferably a PhD or equivalent qualification in computer science.
• Practical knowledge in the fields of project management and project controlling including ROI and business case calculation as well as IT application lifecycle management.
• Preferably an understanding of bio technology / life sciences in general, as well as bio informatics.
