For our IRONMAN EMEA Headquarters based in our entity in Liederbach, Germany we are actively looking
for a highly motivated, fluent English speaking
Revenue Controller (m/f/d) The position will report directly into the CFO EMEA. The EMEA region has approximately 20 entities with
approximately 6 currencies.
Key Responsibilities • This position is primarily responsible for managing both, the day-to-day accounting and monthly/
annual financial statement close process around all revenue streams.
  • Manage the EMEA revenue recognition function which primarily includes the following:
o registration revenues,
o region wide and local sponsorships contracts,
o product licensing contracts,
o portion of the event licensing contracts, and
o host city contracts.
  • Ensure all terms of contract-based revenues (cash and value in kind based) are properly accounted
for and reconciled in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Work with FP&A EMEA to manage accurate event budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting.
  • Identify and supports resolution of complex and unusual transactions.
  • Assist the statutory audit process with the external audit firm to ensure audit requests provided
for any revenue streams are accurate and are provided for in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to technical accounting research for new accounting principles and application of
accounting principles to new business transactions or arrangements. Takes a lead role in educating
impacted company personnel and implementing new accounting policies.
  • Assist in implementing systems, processes, and software to automate or streamline existing
processes.
  • Assist with miscellaneous projects as requested.
Skills and competencies • Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • Fluency in written and spoken both German and English, knowledge of French, Spanish or other
European languages is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years relevant experience in accounting and/or auditing.
  • Experience with accounting in a multinational & multicurrency entity.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be extremely diligent about
working with international colleagues at all levels and ensuring that deadlines are always met.
  • Must be hands on, able to multi-task and show proper level of time management.
  • Detail-oriented and works effectively under pressure while meeting applicable deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office and Finance applications.
  • Experience in NAVISION accounting software and Power BI is an advantage.
