Job Description Tasks As an Application Support Engineer, you provide technical assistance to the customers using Werum's IT solutions on the manufacturing floor. You help customers troubleshoot their Manufacturing Execution System (MES) environment by providing excellent Incident investigation and refer to known errors or similar approaches within existing support cases for solving customer's issues. You provide clear technical instructions and/or perform expert level activities. Furthermore, you are involved in keeping the knowledge base up to date with relevant information for future in-house use. * Oversee the maintenance of the current and future Group Finance IT systems * Qualified Incident management and service request fulfillment on vendor level in a complex application environment (client application, application server, background process server, virtualization layer, database, interface to ERP, interface to production machines) * Taking care of our customer's business processes and helping to maintain a stable and interruption free production * Close collaboration with internal 3rd level support teams * Being part of a global 24/7 application support team (Follow-the-Sun and/or separately paid on call duty) * Visit customer's production sites from time-to-time. Qualifications * University degree in e. G. computer science/engineering/software development and/or multiple years of experience in vendor level support organizations * General overall skills in complex application troubleshooting * Advanced knowledge in local area network operations, virtualization environments (e. G. Citrix / VMWare), Operating Systems (e. G. Windows, Unix, Windows Server) * Good database knowledge (Oracle / PL-/SQL) * Good analytical skills * Strong service orientation and good communication behavior * High self-motivation level * High willingness to deeply dive into new products and learn something new about our service/product world day by day * Fluent German and good English language skills are a must * ITIL understanding is a benefit, ideally backed by an ITIL Foundation Certificate * Working experience in ITIL based IT-Service Management environments (e. G. Service Now, Remedy, Zendesk, etc. ) is a plus * Strong process understanding * First contact with a regulated industry (e. G.
