Team Leader Vehicle

DENSO ADAS Engineering Services GmbH, as a part of DENSO Mobility, is a R&D company with activities in developing the next generation of 3D digital perception based mainly on computer vision, radar and sonar technology for future driving and safety functions. As a full subsidiary of the DENSO Corporation, the world-wide second largest tier-one automotive supplier, we combine the strength of a globally operating cooperation with the agility and familiar atmosphere of a small business. To strengthen our team of about 40 highly skilled engineers in Lindau (Germany) we are looking to hire an experienced, motivated and skilled Team Lead to lead for our lab vehicle team. The responsibility covers a wide range of supporting our main activity. Lab and Test Vehicle operation, built, maintain as well as ground truth generation are part of your duty.

What you'll do

Lead a team of technicians and engineers
System engineering for development and test vehicles
Develop sensor and compute concepts for measurement activities
Change management and documentation
Handle road safety and legal aspects for development vehicles (homologation)

What you'll need

Education and Know-how:
University degree in vehicle engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a related field
Strong systems engineering background (min. 5 years of working experience) 
Good understanding of all related technical aspects: electronics, software, sensors and control
 

Desired technical skills:
Experience with automated vehicles – highly desirable. Alternatively experience in mobile robotics
Understanding of control algorithms
Experience with homologation
Experience leading a small team
Hands-on engineering expertise
 

Additional technical skills:
Experience with ROS
Experience with Linux
Experience with rapid prototyping
Experience with CAD
 

Soft Skills:
Motivated to learn new things
Enjoy work in international teams
Proactive approach to engineering
Self-motivated
 

General requirements:
Fluent in English (speaking, writing) – required
Proficient in German (speaking, writing) – required
Driver’s license – required
