2 Graduate (PhD) students (f/m/d)
at the next possible start date for a period of 3 years.
The salary will be in accordance with salary class TV-L E13 (65%), pending on individual qualifications.
The positions are part of the research cluster “RNA-/RBP-guided Regulation in CardioVascular Diseases
(R3CVD)”. The candidate will work on a project focusing on the role of non-coding RNAs on vascular cell
function.
This project will be integrated in a strong interdisciplinary network of basic-, translational- and clinical scien-

interdisciplinary training during the doctoral thesis.
The main research interest of the team is in the field of vascular biology and -medicine. Our objective is to
study pathophysiological mechanisms and signal transduction pathways modulating vascular diseases, also
in the context of vascular aging. We aim to develop novel therapeutic strategies for the prevention, diagnosis
and treatment of cardiovascular diseases by combining in vitro and in vivo techniques with clinical ap-
proaches. This project is part of a newly founded research cluster focusing on the RNA and RBP guided
regulation of cardiovascular diseases at the MLU-Halle. Within the project specific non-coding RNA’s will be
studied in perspective of their underlying deregulation mechanisms and their functional impact on vascular
