As a Trade Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in executing the Area category activation strategy, to drive the growth of RB brands.
You will implement category strategies, with an emphasis on executing Area and global marketing / trade marketing strategies with adaptations to suit the New Zealand consumer and trade dynamics. This will focus on increasing RB’s in store presence across all categories, strengthening RB brands with consumers, optimizing product assortment and promotional strategy and will achieve excellence through in store (4P) execution across key customers/key accounts via LSMs (Local Success Models).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the Brand & Trade Marketing Activation Plan for key categories in New Zealand.
- Make recommendations for adapting Area and global innovation and leverage BDIs and category strategies for the New Zealand market.
- Work with NZ supply, NZ sales and NZ finance, to prepare and execute plans to deliver key financial targets including net revenue/ gross margin and market share targets within timescales and budget.
- Contribute to and implement the annual Activation business plan including category 4Ps, monitor performance and competitor activity and recommend adjustments to the strategy & tactics.
- Monitor market performance and ensure the successful implementation of plans. Review market share and develop contingency plans when required with the team to align to category strategy.
- Execute agreed product launches and further contribute by delivering local BDIs.
- Contribute to and execute effective 4P strategies based on Global Success Models and an understanding of customers, categories and consumers to maximise results.
- Ensure promotional laws (LSM) are in line with Area and global brand and commercial strategy and are adhered to across the customer mix.
- Accountable for the brand and trade marketing budget for the category.
- Work alongside Supply to ensure the maangement of the S&OP forecacst is in line with RB Sales Performance.
Professional Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience with a blue chip fast moving consumer goods company of at least 5 years proven track record / sales experience with key international or local retailers
- Experience of influencing and engaging key figures in customer organisations
- Additional functional experience, preferably in Marketing, Trade Marketing and/or Finance is an advantage
- Educated to minimum Bachelor’s degree level in a commercial subject
- Fluent in English with at least one other language preferred
- Experience managing Foodstuffs Account will be highly regarded
