Job Description Job Summary At Nordson Matrix Technologies GmbH, a leading company in state-of-the-art X-ray inspection solutions, we are constantly looking for dedicated and motivated (senior) software engineers. As a team member of our engineering team you will work on high-speed Automated Inline X -ray Inspection systems ( AXI ) and semi-automated X-ray Inspection systems. For one of the sub-teams we have an open position for a (senior) Image Processing specialist. The main focus of the team is related to quality assurance and inspection with help of image processing. The team has an intensive collaboration with the applications department, which is in contact with customers. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Developing a custom image processing environment based on existing third-party solutions (Intel IPP, OpenCV, Halcon) as well as custom additions (C#) will be one of the first tasks of the Image Processing specialist. Migrating existing Halcon-based algorithms and/or implementing new algorithms based on the working principles of the existing implementations will also be part of your responsibilities. You will also develop algorithms associated with running an inline inspection machine like calibration, 3D reconstruction and help with development of new inspection algorithms based on customer projects. Other responsibilities will be:

  • Implementing computation intense calculations on GPU (OpenCL);
  • Documenting and training of our applications team, who will be using the algorithms. Education and Experience Requirements * Minimum requirement:
University degree in Computer Science;
  • 5+ years of experience in C# and object-oriented programming;
  • 5+ years' experience in industrial image processing (preferably x-ray);
  • Experience with the following libraries:
Halcon, OpenCV, IPP;
  • Preferably experiencein metrological applications;
  • Preferably experiencein GPU-programming (OpenCL). Skills and Abilities * Sophisticated programming skills with emphasis on runtime optimization;
  • Excellent communication skills in English. Preferably also in German. Travel Required None
