Employee Relations Manager (m/f/d)
The Employee Relations Manager will play an integral part in delivering associate relations support to associates. Responsibilities include building trust, credibility and collaborative relationships with line managers, associates and associate representatives (e.g. works council). The Employee Relations Manager will ensure that issues and needs are resolved fairly, objectively, and in a manner that aligns with our core values.

Key Tasks:
  • Responsible for evaluating and managing Employee Relations questions, concerns and issues, escalated from the MyP&O contact centre (or client group)
  • Perform employee relations investigations (e.g. interviews, document review and consultation with appropriate internal stakeholders). Prepare recommendations based on policies, practices and processes.
  • Analyse and evaluate investigative findings and provide recommendations on suggested resolutions.
  • Provide guidance to Business Partners, Line Managers and associates on the resolution of AR inquires and cases
  • Escalate complex cases using established processes and protocols for complex inquiries
  • Support mutual separations within a defined framework and transition assistance
  • Resolve disputes and grievances in partnership with Works Council Leadership and P&O Business Partners
  • Develop relationships with business stakeholders (e.g. Line Managers, P&O Business Partners, Legal, Works Councils, MyP&O Contact Centre, MyP&O Transaction Centre) to promote positive associate relations across the organization
  • Represent P&O Agenda in Local Works Council Meetings
  • Manage the “day to day” interaction with the Works Council

Your Profile:
  • University degree or equivalent, preferably in Human Resources, Labor/Industrial Relations, Law
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Human Resources/Labor Relations or alternatively experience as in-house counsel in German Employment Law
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision, in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, written and interpersonal
  • Strong conflict management skills
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Profound knowledge in German employment law and labor relations regulations
  • Around 20% of the time will be spent traveling
