Working Student (f/m/d) Quality Assurance in S/4HANA Group Reporting in Walldorf

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

S/4HANA is SAP’s flagship product and lies at the core of our vision of an Intelligent Enterprise, which brings together machine and human intelligence across all business functions to deliver value to our customers. In the first place S/4HANA is built as a cloud product with quarterly release cycles.

The Group Reporting solution is part of S/4HANA Finance and enables concerns to create and publish consolidated financial statements and integrated reports, providing external stakeholders a comprehensive view of the enterprise.

Our department, which is responsible for developing and supporting the S/4HANA Group Reporting solution, comprises engineering teams in Brno, Paris, Ratingen, and Walldorf. In order to ensure the required very high quality and stability standards we take extensive quality assurance measures, like clean code, automated unit tests and others.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As part of our international development team you will be performing code dependency analyses between the various architecture and software layers and resolve non-compliant usages. Your second task will be to configure automated tests for the various functionalities we have in Group Reporting. If you bring interest and already some pre-knowledge in (ABAP) programming, you would also get the opportunity to develop unit tests. You will work closely together with our department quality manager, architects, and the Walldorf-based development teams.

It goes without saying that we will thoroughly introduce you into the technical and functional topics that relate to your tasks. With this you will have the chance to gain insights into S/4HANA software architecture principles, get hands-on experience with various test automation concepts and a basic understanding of the S/4HANA Group Reporting solution.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
Studying preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Physics or related fields with high interest in software development

Having the following computer skills: MS Office application knowledge required, experience with SAP ERP systems and/or (ABAP) programming are a plus
Speaking English fluently, German is a plus
Besides that, you bring excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and very good inter-personal and communication skills.
